Composition of Me

I am pristine, but passionate.
I am every color imaginable.
I am bare feet and stiletto heels.
I am dirt and glitter.
I am old grey sweats and fitted jeans.
I am a windy prairie and waves on the sand.
I am impish maturity.

I am a soul who breathes the same as you.

Sailing

Resting on a fragile raft, the depth of the ocean beneath me, my sail catches the wind and takes me to unknown lands and unknown adventures. Like Max in the Wolfsuit, I drift in and out of weeks—weeks being measured by my own mind rather than the cogs and wheels of humanity. My naked shoulder blades report the sensation of skin on raw wood, tethering me to reality. I deftly ignore it. Clouds parade across my sky—Cumulonimbus sitting throne to it’s kingdom of Cirrus and Stratus subjects. Out here the breeze has confidence to sing, flirting with the lolling sea. Out here, humanity has a different definition. It has no definition. It has no greater will or capacity to survive than that of the present company. I sail on, surging with the pulse of the massive water.

Fireflies

Fireflies in a Champagne Glass
I was seventeen and simple when I saw my very first firefly. To me, fireflies were things of dreams. They were mystical creatures that rampaged with the likes of Peter Pan. I imagined them to be powdered with glitter and with wings of tiny satin. To finally meet one, I found myself even more entranced. Clutching a champagne glass, blended among tall, waving grasses in the meadow outside my hotel, I was realizing a dream. I had a wish come true. The glitter of fairytales is a truth. It's merely in your perception, your angle of vision. Come...let's us catch some fireflies.
